During the heightened time of lockdown, Zoom has offered its video conferencing solution for K-12 schools for free. All approved K-12 schools affected by COVID-19 get a Zoom Free Basic Plan with unlimited minutes and meetings until December 31, 2021.
From then on, schools in selected countries have leveraged Zoom Meetings for education. As the demand grows, many developers tried to create solutions to better cater to the remote learning student population worldwide. Eventually, Class is one of the software companies that has succeeded.
Class is built on Zoom and made for education. In fact, Class leverages a lot of useful existing tools on Zoom. Some of which are whiteboard, Q&A, breakout rooms, and virtual background all blending smartly in a learning-focused interface.
Of note, the Class interface enhances Zoom’s technology for online learning by about 60%. These online learning-focused features aim to provide a better online learning environment. Class offers integrated features like attendance, assignments, grade books, among others.
On top of that, Class virtual classroom enables teachers to provide their students with online quizzes and testing all within the platform. It makes it easier for teachers as well to share a video, pop quizzes live during the online class on Zoom.
