Integrating Zoom on Slack will allow users to enhance their digital workplace with a seamless experience. Once integrated, you can do the following Zoom functions on Slack.
Validate your Zoom account type. The prerequisites for the integration are as follows:
Login and access the Zoom administrator page. Then, click on ‘Integration’ under the ‘Advanced’ settings menu.
Once clicked, you will see a list of applications and platforms that can be integrated to your Zoom. Scroll down and search for Slack on the list. Then, click on ‘Authorize’ found on the side.
You will then be redirected to Slack. Here, Zoom will seek your permission to access your Slack workspace. Click on ‘Authorize’ to allow.
If you are not logged in on your Slack account. You need to sign in on your Slack account at this stage. Also, you might need to authorize from Zoom or Slack, or vice versa. Below are the authorization window screenshots that you might encounter.
Users may opt to use their personal meeting ID for Slack instant meeting feature. To do this, simply open your account profile page and click on ‘edit’ found on the side of the Personal Meeting ID.
On Slack, you should see the ‘Call’ button powered by Zoom Phone. Also, you may book, launch, and join Zoom meetings directly from your Slack workspace.
However, unlike calls that has a designated one-click button for Zoom Phone-powered calls. You will have to use Zoom commands on Slack to launch meetings. Simply, you have use a variety of forward-slash Zoom commands: /Zoom.
